Kump's Dam Park — the long building on the pond's southeast shore.
The Summer Home
Woods, Water & Room to Gather
The Post's second home sits east of town in a wooded creek hollow: Kump's Dam Park, 10632 Harney Rd — a long event building on the shore of the Kump's Dam pond on Middle Creek, in deep shade, with farmland beyond the trees.
Local memory knows this water: the dam began in the tannery era, and the pond was a prized swimming hole for generations. Today the park is the Post's summer home.

Every August
The Annual Crab Feed
Every summer the park fills for the Post's Crab Feed — the signature fundraiser. The 2026 edition ran Sunday, August 9, 12–4 PM: a $50 ticket (required to enter, public welcome) covered all-you-can-eat crabs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, hot dogs, and baked beans, with beer, wine coolers, soda, and water included.
Watch the Post's Facebook for next year's date and tickets.
Rent the Park
The building and grounds rent for weddings, reunions, and family celebrations, roughly May through October — and summer dates go fast ("bookings fill fast," in the Post's own words).
Day Rental — $250
Per day or weekend, from the Post's own rental posts. The event building on the pond, grounds, and room to spread out.
Wedding Package — $400
